This weekend was so great!!

Friday was date night. Our date night consisted of: Olive Garden and going to see The Ninja Turtles. hehe.

It was so nice to just sit and eat dinner and relax for a few. Not to say we don't relax with JN. We do. She's a really good kid. But, for what ever reason there's always a ton of people at Olive Garden at dinner time so we would have opted for a more "kid friendly" resutrant (one with little wait) if we had all been out together.

The conversation we had about going to see the movie was quit hilarious now that I think about it. The movie did not start till 9:30. Now, both of us are still in our 20's, 29 that is so barely, but nonetheless we are in our 20's. We had a serious debate on whether or not to just skip going to the movie. The reason being... it was too late. HAHA. Now granted our plan was dinner and a movie, but we really had this back and forth discussion that was then proceeded by a google search on how long the movie was so we'd know exactly what time we'd be home. WHEN DID WE GET OLD?!

Long story long- we went. It was pretty good. I would say not as good as the other ninja turtles movie (you know the other one with "real" turtles). But, it was fun and funny now that we debated not going.

Also, after we ate I was looking for something in my pocketbook and found that "ju box" as Joz calls them. hehe. Yes, that was in my pocketbook. The life of a mom.

Don't worry I just put in back down in there in case I got thirsty during the late night showing of The Ninja Turtles.

Saturday that Burpee + Fran type workout went down. It did not go so well for me. But, I finished it nonetheless.

When I got home my sweet husband had fixed JN and I breakfast. After, eating we decided to go to his grandpa’s house to swim. It was so fun and JN had a blast!! We ended up packing a lunch for all of us and it was so nice just to get to sit with his grandpa outside by the pool and enjoy the day. I only wish Jared had been on vacation more this summer so we could have done this more! Next summer it’s definitely on the agenda!

After the fun afternoon of swimming Dana and I finally got to celebrate our bdays!!! The coolest part about our birthdays is that they are only three days apart- July 10 & 13th. I know I know we are celebrating about two months late. But, we could just never nail down a good day for both us.

But, that’s okay who wouldn’t want to celebrate for months. I mean you only turn 29 once right. Plus, we are hanging on to the “2” for as long as possible this year. ;) With BIG plans for next year if all works out!!!

We ended up going to Carolina Ale house followed by Uptown Art to paint! It was so much fun. The catching up most of all and then all the laughs while painting. I think my cheeks and side still hurt from laughing so much.

But, I do need to tell you if you have any issue with taking directions out loud... This may give you a slight disadvantage painting.

No.. Seriously.

A little background on me: I am TERRIBLE at taking directions or giving them for that matter. I think this probably stems from the fact that I maybe know three road names total.

For example: when people start to give me directions and say things like, “okay, you go like you’re going to Charlotte… on 77, keep on that road till you get to 99, and the take exit 44.”

(Yes, you probably just laughed because none of those are the right names or numbers)

But, this is what I hear: “okay, you go like you’re going to {name}, on {road number}, keep on that road till you get to {some numbers}, and the take exit {more ##}.

And if that continue it’s more like {name name, ##, name, ###}

Then they finish with, “you got it? it’s really simple.”

HA.

I normally just thank them and then ask for the address. ;) Is this a disorder of some sort?

Anyone else feel me on that?

Anyhow, the lady up front immediately starts giving directions. Oh CRAP. Now she wasn’t giving out road numbers, but directions on what to do first as we started to paint.

Either way my OLDD (out loud directions disorder) kicked in full throttle. Haha.

Luckily, she was also demonstrating so that saved me and my elephant somewhat. LOL.

But, I think that made the whole process even funnier. I would definitely go again. Next time however I may rock headphones, big ol’ BEATS, hahaha nah just kidding on that one. Who knows maybe if I keep going it would get easier.
